Salman Khan Faces Fresh Death Threat From Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Amid Sikandar Shoot
Salman Khan, currently filming for Sikandar in Hyderabad, receives a new death threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang over an alleged song reference. Security has been tightened with a four-tier cover to ensure safety.
Salman Khan, the popular Bollywood actor, recently received a new death threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang amidst the shoot of his upcoming film Sikandar. The actor, who has been targeted by the Bishnoi gang before, is currently filming in Hyderabad under a stringent four-tier security cover, which was ramped up following the fresh warning. The threat this time seems to be over a song that allegedly mentions Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi, with the gang issuing a chilling warning to the songwriter involved.
According to reports, the enhanced security arrangements include a blend of private guards and police personnel. Salman’s long-time bodyguard, Shera, has handpicked a team that includes former paramilitary forces. On top of this, both Mumbai and Hyderabad police have provided additional coverage, making the security detail quite comprehensive, consisting of around 50 to 70 members. The filming is taking place at a palace hotel in Hyderabad, where even the hotel staff and guests are undergoing strict screenings. Only authorized personnel are allowed near the shoot location after thorough identity checks, reflecting the high level of precaution in place.
The recent threat, reported by NDTV, was received at the Mumbai Police Traffic Control Room on the night of November 7, 2024. It referenced a song, which the gang claims links the actor to Lawrence Bishnoi, currently imprisoned. The message, in a rather menacing tone, warned the songwriter of dire consequences, suggesting that he would be left unable to write songs ever again. It also threw a challenge at Salman Khan, daring him to protect the songwriter if he could.
Following this, the Worli Police registered a case against an unidentified person, and investigations are currently underway. This isn't the first time Salman has faced threats from the Bishnoi gang. Previously, the group had targeted the actor in connection with his involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, an incident that seems to have fueled animosity over the years.
Meanwhile, Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, is gearing up for a grand release on Eid 2025. The film features a star-studded cast including Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi, promising an action-packed entertainer.
