Wamiqa Gabbi is set to make her long-awaited return to Telugu cinema after a decade, starring in the sequel to the 2018 film Goodachari, titled G2. The new film, directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, will see her in the female lead role alongside Adivi Sesh and Emraan Hashmi, who also play key roles. The announcement was made with the release of a new poster featuring both Wamiqa and Adivi Sesh, hinting at the exciting espionage adventure the movie promises.

Adivi Sesh shared the news on social media, welcoming Wamiqa to the G2 team, describing her as his "partner in adventure" and mentioning how thrilling it would be to film in Europe. Wamiqa also expressed her excitement for the role on Instagram, mentioning that her character will be involved in espionage and action, just like Sesh's. She revealed her eagerness to work with both Sesh and Emraan Hashmi, whom she is yet to meet on set.

In a press interaction, Wamiqa shared how excited she was to be a part of the project, emphasizing that G2 is not just a challenging role but also a thrilling opportunity to work with a stellar cast and crew. She expressed her enthusiasm for joining a story that has already set a remarkable benchmark with its predecessor. G2 will pick up from where Goodachari left off, continuing the thrilling story with action, suspense, and espionage. The movie also stars Murali Sharma, Supriya Yarlagadda, Madhu Shalini, and Banita Sandhu in prominent roles. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal under the banners of People Media Factory, Abhishek Agarwal Arts, and AK Entertainments, G2 will be released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
