If you’re a fan of Veer-Zaara, here’s some exciting news! To mark the film’s 20th anniversary, Yash Raj Films is re-releasing it in theaters starting November 7. Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta’s beloved romance will be back on 600 screens worldwide, with new premieres in places like Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar.
Directed by Yash Chopra, Veer-Zaara tells the timeless love story between Veer, an Indian Air Force officer, and Zaara, the daughter of a Pakistani politician. When the film first came out in 2004, it was a massive hit, both at the box office and with critics. Twenty years later, it’s still one of those films that resonates with so many people.
For those who’ve always loved the soundtrack, there’s something extra special this time. The re-release will include the song Yeh Hum Aa Gaye Hain Kahaan, which was never part of the original theatrical cut. It’s sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Udit Narayan, so it’s definitely a treat for fans.
Nelson D’Souza, Vice President of International Distribution at YRF, mentioned that the decision to bring Veer-Zaara back to theaters came from the overwhelming demand from fans. The film, which was the highest-grossing Indian film of 2004, continues to have a huge fanbase across the world, with screenings in places like the USA, UK, UAE, Australia, and South Africa. So, if you’ve been wanting to relive this classic, now’s your chance!
