Actor Akshay Kumar has confirmed that he will be reuniting with filmmaker Priyadarshan for the much-anticipated Hera Pheri 3. After a successful collaboration on films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) and Hera Pheri (2000), the duo is coming together once again to create the third installment of the popular franchise.
In an exclusive conversation with HT City, Akshay expressed his excitement about the reunion, calling it a "fabulous start to 2025." He shared how Priyadarshan’s offer to direct Hera Pheri 3 was a delightful surprise for the team.
The announcement followed shortly after Priyadarshan, on his 68th birthday, hinted at the news on Instagram. He thanked Akshay Kumar for his birthday wishes and shared a playful message on his Stories. In the message, Priyadarshan invited Akshay, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal to join him for the third installment of the Hera Pheri franchise. He also mentioned that, in return for Akshay's wishes, he was offering a gift: his willingness to direct Hera Pheri 3 and asked if Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh were ready to join him for the film.
