Diljit Dosanjh is hitting a legal snag just ahead of his much-anticipated Hyderabad concert. The notice, issued by the Department of Welfare for Women, Children, Disabled, and Senior Citizens in Rangareddy, follows a complaint from a Chandigarh resident. The complaint included video evidence from previous concerts, where Diljit performed tracks that touched on controversial topics like substance abuse and violence. These songs were reportedly part of his October 2024 show at New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, as well as other international gigs.

Along with the song restrictions, the notice also bars children from appearing on stage during the Hyderabad concert. Referencing World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines on sound exposure, it highlighted that children under 13 should not be exposed to sound levels over 120 decibels, a common feature at large events. Flashing lights and loud sounds also raise concerns for younger audiences.

Diljit’s fans, who were eagerly awaiting the concert in Hyderabad, might now have to deal with a modified performance. As part of his Dil-Luminati tour, Diljit has been making waves across India, having already performed in major cities like Delhi and Jaipur. Despite the legal hurdles, the singer took to social media to express his excitement about his visit to Hyderabad, sharing a video of his arrival where he prayed at both a temple and a Gurudwara.

The Dil-Luminati tour, which started on October 26, 2024, will cover 10 cities, with the Hyderabad stop being his third. The grand finale is scheduled for December 29, 2024, in Guwahati. Fans can expect more from the singer, who has No Entry 2 and Border 2 lined up in the coming months.
