Boman Irani’s directorial debut, The Mehta Boys, starring himself and Avinash Tiwary, is set to stream on Amazon Prime Video from February 7, 2025. The film follows the story of a father and son, portrayed by Boman Irani and Avinash Tiwary, who are at odds with each other but must spend 48 hours together. According to the official description, The Mehta Boys delves into the complexities of their relationship, capturing an emotional and tumultuous journey. The poster, unveiled ahead of the release, features the two characters with the tagline, “48 hours, 2 people, 1 epic story.”
The movie has already garnered praise on the international film circuit. It premiered at the 2024 Chicago South Asian Film Festival, where it won Best Feature Film, and was also the opening film at the International Film Festival of South Asia Toronto and the Indian Film Festival Germany.

The cast includes Shreya Chaudhry of Bandish Bandits fame alongside Boman Irani and Avinash Tiwary.
