Shah Rukh Khan has revealed exciting updates about his next film, King, during an event in Dubai. He confirmed that the movie will be directed by Siddharth Anand, the filmmaker behind the blockbuster Pathaan. SRK described Siddharth as a "strict" director but assured fans that King will be a thoroughly entertaining action film.
The actor, who will also star alongside his daughter Suhana Khan in the movie, shared that filming will take place in locations like Dubai and Mumbai. He mentioned that shooting would continue over the next few months, but remained tight-lipped about the plot due to the director's instructions. In his signature witty style, Shah Rukh joked about running out of good movie titles and referred to his character in King as "Shah Rukh Khan in and as King." The superstar added that being in Dubai, the title felt fitting because, “A king is always a king.”
Reports suggest that King will also feature Abhishek Bachchan as the antagonist and Abhay Verma in key roles. The movie is expected to have an extensive shooting schedule of six to seven months, covering multiple international locations.
Shah Rukh Khan’s collaboration with Siddharth Anand comes after the success of their last film together, Pathaan. Following his blockbuster hits Pathaan and Jawan, fans are eagerly awaiting King, which promises to deliver another dose of action-packed drama. The film is set to begin production in March 2025.
