Shraddha Kapoor’s much-anticipated film Nagin appears to be gearing up for production, as producer Nikhil Dwivedi recently shared an update on Makar Sankranti 2025. He posted an image of the film's script on Instagram, captioned “Makar Sankranti & Finally…” signaling the movie's readiness to go on floors.
According to Filmfare, the script is titled Nagin: An Epic Tale of Love & Sacrifice and was developed by Saffron Magicworks. Nikhil Dwivedi’s post, surrounded by marigold flowers, hinted at an auspicious start for the project. It was also confirmed that Saket Chaudhary, known for Hindi Medium, will direct the movie.
Reports suggest that Nagin has been in the pipeline for several years, with Shraddha Kapoor expressing her excitement about playing the iconic role back in 2020. In a social media post, Shraddha shared her admiration for Sridevi’s performances in Nagina and Nigahen and stated it was her dream to portray a similar character rooted in Indian folklore.

In earlier interviews, Nikhil Dwivedi revealed that Shraddha had always been his first choice for the role due to her ability to balance a "girl-next-door" charm with sensuousness.
