Actor Shweta Tripathi, known for Mirzapur and Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein, has stepped into film production. Her first project will be a queer love story, directed by a National Award-winning filmmaker. She shared that the story originally came to her as an acting offer, but she was deeply moved by the script and asked to produce it as well.

Shweta explained that she has always been deeply influenced by stories on screen and wants to create narratives that move audiences. She believes there aren't enough films that reflect the complexities of life and wants to explore both joyful and painful realities. By producing films, she hopes to have creative control over the stories she tells.
Upcoming Projects
Besides the queer love story, Shweta revealed that she is working on three other films—a horror movie, a psychological thriller, and a drama. Each project is different, and she is excited about the journey ahead.

Plans for Children's Content
She also expressed a strong desire to create films for children, explaining that cinema has played a huge role in shaping her life. She wants to give future generations the same experience she had growing up. She emphasized that her goal as a producer is not just to act in her own films but to tell meaningful stories.
Shweta added that she is open to different formats, including radio and audiobooks, as storytelling is her main passion. If she believes another actor fits a role better than her, she is willing to step back.
