The much-awaited fourth season of Maharani, starring Huma Qureshi, has officially begun production. On February 18, 2025, the makers announced the start of the shoot by sharing behind-the-scenes images from the muhurat shot.

The first image showed a clapboard with "muhurat" written on it, marking the beginning of the season’s journey. It was revealed that Subhash Kapoor created the series, while Puneet Prakash would direct the new season. Anurag Solanki was named as the director of photography, and Naren Kumar and Dimple Kharbanda were producing the show.
The makers expressed their gratitude in their announcement, mentioning that audience support had made the fourth season possible. They stated that after three successful seasons, they were excited to bring Maharani back with more power, politics, and drama.

The shared pictures also included images of the creative team posing with the clapboard and working on the production. Additionally, the team had previously released unseen glimpses from the look tests conducted before filming began.
Huma Qureshi, the lead actress, was seen in an all-black outfit in the behind-the-scenes images. Other team members, including photographers and editors, were also seen ensuring everything was in place for the shoot. The makers confirmed that preparations for another intense season of political drama were underway.
The Maharani series has seen different directors for each season. Karan Sharma directed the first season, Ravindra Gautam took charge of the second, and Saurabh Bhave helmed the third. Huma Qureshi plays the lead role of Rani Bharti, alongside a strong supporting cast that includes Sohum Shah, Amit Sial, Kani Kusruti, and Inaamulhaq.
