Richa Chadha Hopes For A Trusting And Friendly Bond With Daughter Zuneyra

Richa Chadha has shared her hopes for the kind of relationship she wants with her daughter, Zuneyra Ida Fazal. The actress expressed her desire for a bond built on trust, openness, and friendliness as Zuneyra grows up.

In an interview with Zoom, Richa reflected on her own relationship with her mother, which she described as practical and honest. She shared how her mother gave her the freedom to make choices and mentioned that she aims to create the same supportive and understanding environment for her daughter.  

When asked about Zuneyra’s future interests, Richa expressed a wish for her to explore diverse types of cinema rather than becoming overly focused on video games. She plans to introduce Zuneyra to films in Punjabi and French, along with Hindi and English, comparing this approach to parents exposing children to a variety of cuisines including simple dishes like khichdi to indulgent treats like pizza.

Richa and her husband Ali Fazal also celebrated the streaming debut of their first production, Girls Will Be Girls, now available on Amazon Prime Video. Directed by Shuchi Talati, the film tells the story of an 18-year-old Head Prefect, Mira Kishore, navigating a budding romance under her mother’s watchful eye. Starring Kani Kusruti, Preeti Panigrahi, and Kesav Binoy Kiron, the movie premiered at top festivals like Sundance before its digital release.
